Access Services
HellmouthCon is dedicated to serving all of its attendees. The Access Services Department was established to offer a hand to visitors with special needs. Access Services desk is located at the entrance by the Auditorium. Please check in at the beginning of your day, especially if you have a service animal.
-
Torrance High School is ADA accessible. The campus is equipped with wheelchair accessible entrances and pathways throughout the event space, elevator in the main building (where the Little Theater is), and accessible restrooms.
-
While we can't guarantee seating, we do set up limited designated viewing areas for various panels to ensure a clear line of sight.
HellmouthCon follows all current regulations as defined by the ADA.
-
Please let us know when you check-in at Access that you have an ASL interpreter with you.
-
If your service animal is not wearing any kind of ID identifying them as a service animal, you may be stopped by security. For your convenience, please stop by Access Services desk for Service Animal Stickers for your HellmouthCon badge.
-
All service dog handlers must be in control of their service dogs at all times. Service dogs will be expected to be reasonably quiet and well-groomed, and will be entirely the responsibilities of their respective handlers. Any service dog found to be out of their handler’s control, aggressive, or un-housebroken will be asked to leave the venue. In this case, the service dog handler may be allowed to return without the animal and offered reasonable accommodations.
HellmouthCon is working on building an ASL dept. If you or anyone you know would like to volunteer for this department please direct them to Volunteer FAQ.
If you are an attendee that requires assistance, HellmouthCon wants to make your experience as fun and as entertaining as possible. There are a few limitations on what can be provided. For example:
-
Programming rooms fill up quickly, and all seating is on a first-come, first- served basis. Please read the online Program and plan your day accordingly, keeping in mind the popularity of many events.
-
Special autograph sessions are always limited, so it is a good idea to make arrangements to have someone within your group save a spot for you in line.
The Access Services team is here to help. By working together, we can make the convention experience enjoyable for everyone. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us at Access@HellmouthEvents.org
Accessibility Of Website
Fandom Charities Inc.is committed to providing a website that is accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of circumstance and ability. We aim to adhere as closely as possible to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.0, Level AA), published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines explain how to make Web content more accessible for people with disabilities. Conformance with these guidelines will help make the web more user friendly to everyone. While Fandom Charities strives to adhere to the guidelines and standards for accessibility, it is not always possible to do so in all areas of the website and we are currently working to achieve this. Be aware that due to the dynamic nature of the website, minor issues may occasionally occur as it is updated regularly. We are continually seeking out solutions that will bring all areas of the site up to the same level of overall web accessibility.
If you have any comments and/or suggestions relating to improving the accessibility of our site, please don't hesitate to contact us at Info@FandomCharities.org Your feedback will help us make improvements.
