Tim Minear is coming to @WhedonCon 2017!

WhedonCon is proud to announce that the incomparable Tim Minear will be appearing at our 2017 convention alongside fellow Mutant Enemy scribe David Fury.

Possessing a true talent for words, Tim Minear won the hearts of fans by penning some of the Whedonverse’s most memorable lines, such as Firefly‘s most famous advice that“When you can’t run, you crawl, and when you can’t crawl – when you can’t do that . . . You find someone to carry you.” Though fourteen years have passed, these words still resonate with and beyond the Browncoat community, appearing frequently as the subject of memes, tattoos, and artwork.

Get Involved with Juliet Landau’s Vampire Documentary

Juliet-Landau-APATU-w-Joss

It’s been talked about for months, and now it begins.

Juliet Landau has officially started the Indiegogo campaign for her documentary A Place Among The Undead this morning. The documentary takes a look at vampires in popular culture, from Dracula to Buffy the Vampire Slayer and beyond.  A Place Among The Undead  is a “first of its kind” in many ways. It gathers the Who’s Who of the genre, never seen before together in one film. It provides a rare perspective…  an insiders’ view into the vampire phenomenon.

Juliet Landau and Gary Oldman 2015Juliet Landau and Anne RiceThe list of people interviewed is very impressive; from Gary Oldman (Dracula), Tim Burton (Dark Shadows, Ed Wood), Willem Dafoe (Shadow of the Vampire), Anne Rice (Interview With the Vampire) and Caroline Munro (Dracula 1972 AD) to David Greenwalt (Angel), Charlaine Harris (True Blood) and Joss Whedon.

Plus, you never know who may stop by! Such as Nicholas Brendan (Xander Harris), at this past screening!
